Graduation is OVER!…

We’ll it’s official, he is graduated. It was the most beautiful evening you have ever seen. THanks for all the prayers. They got to march out onto the field with whomever they wanted and then their principal did a short speech. Then the class president gave her speech and then one of [...]

We had a double rainbow…

and #2 was going to take a picture. Just as she shot the picture, lightening struck. Thank goodness she wasn’t hit.

P. S. Please keep praying for sunshine for another 9 hours or so…

Please Pray for Sunshine…

Graduation is fast upon us and the weather is not cooperating. Please pray that God will send beautiful weather to dry out the football field and hold off the rains. Right now, he is blessing us with the first sunshine we have seen in weeks. Pray for me to remain calm as [...]

Where have I been?….

Several of you have written worried about me. I am fine. Just busy. No, Hubby did not leave me at the dump, though I am sure the thought did cross his mind a time or two.
#1 is graduating and we have had awards day. He got a Volunteer Award. It was a National Scholarship. [...]

My first trip to the dump…

I was a little disappointed, I must say.
I was expecting to drive up against a huge crevasse (think grand canyon) and toss our stuff into the massive hole as backhoes pushed it around. Instead we backed into a concrete building, threw our stuff on the ground, and then a backhoe came and got it and [...]

So do your homework…

Interesting things you learn about yourself when the lights go off:
We do not get a lot of magazines. The ones we get just come. We don’t buy them. They show up for a while, then go away. I read them, throw them away. I have never been a magazine keeper. (#3 needed food pictures [...]

Power Washing Saturday…

Well, I was so proud. I got half the deck power washed. It’s a very big deck and it’s under an even better tree. See my plan was to take a picture of the tree, but…
I got about 1/4 way done and Hubby wanted to take a load to the dump. #1 didn’t want to [...]

Pooling around the house…

It was finally not raining today, so I asked the girls if they wanted to have a play day at our house. They, of course did. And, of course, they wanted to swim. So I decided, to read a book and get some sun and well, best laid plans. The shade tree [...]

Okay, where do I apply though…

It’s been said that if you took all the skills that a woman used to be a stay at home mom and marketed them that she’d be worth something like $137,000. The first time I told Hubby that, it made him mad. Not sure why. Maybe because he wasn’t making that, so he couldn’t [...]

Wii Unfit…

So what do you do when your exercise equipment is the most exciting new toy in the house? Well, if you are a mom, you wait it out. Soon they will tire of it like the bicycles, tennis rackets, dog, gold fish they wanted and begged for and then discarded when they became real [...]
