Have I mentioned I don't miss television?

Superman has a sister in a group home and it is tragic because his parents have hidden her. When we tried to include her (the first few years we were married), they were so upset that they moved her and wouldn't tell us where she was.

True, Jean, really doesn't have to be just women. It just amazes me that people can be so cruel.
The topic that causes the most venom- religion.

Hi Teresa - Your post about rude, hateful, and venomous comments posted online is so true...but it's not just women. Read any message board related to sports, politics, or any other subject and you will see a constant stream of demeaning and critical remarks. Rudeness and incivility online knows no gender...and no, most of these people would not be caught dead uttering these things out loud or in person.

On another subject, hope things are better for you at home - looking forward to seeing you get back to genealogy. Best, Jean

I quit all my forums for that reason. I just found it exhausting and, frankly, disappointing. Glad to know your bravery made a difference.

Yup, one day at a time. I know there is no way I would want to be God. Too much stress in that job. LOL Today was a much better day for me.
Sorry about the picture I painted, try living the reality... SHUDDER And I am such a clean freak. LOL But we are just going to move onward and forward.

Maybe it won't take a plague of worms to get my attention next time.

Oh, gross! Seriously, I'm laughing and grimacing at the picture you painted, but that is seriously disgusting.

I'm right there with you, by the way...one day at a time and going where I'm led. All the signs are there and the stress was killing me...

One whole side of my mom's family can't tell their left from their right. I inherited that as did #2. Should have seen her take the driver's test, it was hilarious, she had her left hand in a perfect L the entire time.

I can't find my way out of a wet paper bag, Hubby never gets lost. #1 has no sense of direction, #2 never gets lost. She is taking him to the dentist tomorrow, because despite the fact that he has been every 6 months for 17 years, he can't remember the way.

And he laughs just like my sister-in-law, the one annoying habit he has that he got from her.

Not growing up surrounded by my birth family, I've often wondered the same things. Why do I do this, when no one around me does it? It can't be learned, because I've never seen it. Yet, it shows up in my kids and when I finally meet more of my birth family, I see it in them. Who gave us that was of walking? Gesturing? Talking? Thinking?

Superman was born with a heart murmur that was gone by the time he enlisted in the military at 18...now Buttercup has manifested it. No one has issues, so I don't worry...too much. Superman is functionally ambidextrous and poor Valiant struggled to settle on a hand...he finally settled on being right-handed, but it isn't an easy fit...who sent that down the pike? Did it come hand-in- hand with their ability to fix anything? Their creativity? I guess we take the bad with the good...

P.S. Superman also points with his middle finger, but I've not seen any of the kids do it ... yet.

I do feel better today. She's still not feeling any better, but I did get her to school. How long she will stay, is another matter. I am counting down the hours till Thursday myself. Only 24 more till we see the doctor. Hopefully he will have some answers for us on Thursday because if we have to go and run more tests, my nerves my not take it.
